“I’ve been known for what’s called my rock ’n’ roll aesthetic; but it’s not rock ’n’ roll, it’s earthy glamour, that can be lived in,” says interior designer Jo Berryman. It’s a look which is exemplified by the Victorian house in Frome, Somerset, that she shares with her husband, Philip Bergkvist, 54, the owner of digital animation company Encycle Studios, and their children, Nico, 19; Romy, 11; and Elijah, three. The house, which they bought in 2018, recently underwent a major renovation that, she says, has vastly improved the space and flow of the interior, and the way the family live in it.
