Spoilers for next week’s Coronation Street have confirmed that matters are far from resolved for Sam Blakeman following the Megan Walsh twist.
As viewers will remember, Sam (Jude Riordan) discovered this year that athletics coach Megan (Beth Nixon) had been grooming youngster Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) for months.
Wicked Megan subsequently made Sam’s existence unbearable and intimidated him into staying silent. Matters took an alarming turn this week though, when Sam overdosed on ADHD medication.
At hospital, Sam at last disclosed the truth about Megan and Will to stepmother Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) with the revelation eventually reaching Will’s father Ben (Aaron McCusker) and grandmother Maggie (Pauline McLynn).

Megan was subsequently swiftly arrested on suspicion of child grooming, before later being released. And in Friday’s episode (March 20), the consequences continued as word spread about Megan being pregnant, reports the Daily Star.
Despite claiming it was her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) baby, people saw through her lies, including Daniel.

Subsequently, Maggie confronted Sam and questioned why he didn’t speak up sooner about Megan and Will before suggesting Sam remained silent in exchange for better grades at school, leaving him looking shaken.
However, spoilers for next week have revealed the drama is nowhere near finished for Sam. In Tuesday’s episode (March 24), Daniel encourages Sam to tell the police everything he knows as Megan deserves to be punished.

However, Sam becomes increasingly anxious after Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) cautions that Daniel and Megan are likely working together, and it’s wiser not to disclose anything to him. Later in the week, Sam reveals to Hope that he’s disposed of his mobile phone, suspecting Daniel was monitoring his email, and emphasises the importance of staying alert.
Meanwhile on the soap, Ben gathers the family to address Megan’s baby and her refusal to undergo a DNA test. When Will jumps to Megan’s defence, Maggie loses her temper.
Subsequently, Ben convinces a hesitant Will to participate in a counselling session, hoping he might discuss his relationship with Megan more openly. When Kit (Jacob Roberts) discloses that forensic analysis of Will’s and Megan’s phones indicates nothing unlawful, Ben and Eva are left disheartened.
