Fresh footage of a slurring Justin Timberlake being booked in after his drink driving arrested has been released as he grumbled about his treatment.
The singing superstar was taken into legal custody by cops in 2024 for driving while intoxicated, and after attempting to get the clips buried, officials in America have been given the green light to make the make public the moment he was pulled over. They were released after he agreed to redactions as part of a legal settlement of a privacy lawsuit he had filed against the local police department in Sag Harbor, New York.
On Saturday, fans were left stunned by the footage that showed the former NSYNC star was seen being pulled over, as an officer explains: “The reason I stopped is because you’re veering off to the left and you’re not stopping at the stop signs.” The 45-year-old replies: “Yeah, sorry about that” before explaining the car is a rental and looking for the car registration as he explains the car is being rented “for a couple of days” as he’s currently on a ” world tour”.

The 10-time Grammy winner looked unsteady on his feet as he got out of his car before he conducts a sobriety test as he is asked to walk in a straight line. He is seen stumbling and also had slowed speech before the Rock Your Body hitmaker is placed in the back of a police car.
Now, what happened at the police station has been revealed after bodycam footage was obtained by CBS News. Justin, 45, was told by an officer why he was in handcuffs, before being asked if he consented to a chemical test, which he refused. “What was the traffic violation I missed, just for future reference?” he quizzed.

He then complained: “You boys are treating me like a criminal.” The cop then tells him: “I don’t want to call anyone names, but this is the situation we’re in Mr Timberlake I’m afraid. I’m trying my best to treat you like anybody else.”
Justin then stares at the officer and asks: “Can I ask you a question, is this the normal process? Do you normally cuff people up?”
After being told all DWI arrests are handled the same way, the singer said: “I appreciate you boys doing your job.” He was then taken to his cell and told he would be there until morning. “I have to stay here all night? You guys are wild, man.”
Justin was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanour, but later pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of driving while impaired, which is an infraction.

Earlier this month, he was granted a temporary restraining order to block the release of the video. Legal papers were filed in Sag Harbor to try to stop the footage being released following Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
Paperwork filed in Sag Harbor claimed the footage in question shows the musician “in an acutely vulnerable state during a roadside encounter with law enforcement”. It adds that the film shows “intimate details” of Timberlake’s “physical appearance, demeanour, speech, and conduct”.
PageSix reported lawyer Michael Del Piano claimed that the release of the video would cause “severe and irreparable harm” to the singer’s “personal and professional reputation”. It also claimed it would subject him to “public ridicule and harassment”.
The attorney went on: “[There is] no legitimate public interest in understanding the operations of government … disclosure of this footage would constitute an unwarranted invasion [of Timberlake’s privacy].”
