The Celtic board were forced to leave the Tannadice directors box amid a furious reaction from supporters after defeat to Dundee United.
It was an eighth Premiership defeat of the season for the Hoops as they sit in third spot and five points off league leaders Hearts following the 2-0 loss to United.
Raging Celtic fans have taken a stand against the Parkhead decision-makers throughout the season, dating back to a disappointing summer transfer window and Champions League exit at the hands of minnows Kairat Almaty.
Tensions flared again at the full-time whistle with Sky Sports cameras catching angry punters making move towards the directors box.
Chief executive Michael Nicholson, chief financial officer Chris McKay and interim chairman Brian Wilson were amongst the group on the end of a furious backlash.
Police formed a line to intervene as the furious fans gestured towards the board members.
Sky would cut away from the incident but BBC Sportsound host Richard Gordon would reveal the response from the Celtic chiefs on air.
Speaking at the full-time whistle, Gordon said: “What a magnificent afternoon for Dundee United their players, leaving the pitch to a rousing applause, and, of course, the song belting out in the background.
“Very different scenario for those Celtic players, most of whom have trooped off.
“I’ve got to say a lot of fans, there was resignation, I suppose many have left, but some of those who stayed have gathered in the area in the stand just above the tunnel.
“They were giving dogs abuse to the players, but there were also quite a few who were over at the far corner, and they were directing their anger, venting their fury, at the Celtic board of directors.
“They’re still attempting to do just that, as a line of police and stewards just holding them back, and the Celtic directors somewhat shame facedly, basically leaving that stand and making their way out through the exit, but real anger.”
