The UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has published the result of a call for evidence on how to support the private sector’s work on nature. Stakeholders highlighted the need for regulatory levers, disclosure standards and other incentives to ensure nature recovery at scale. Defra received 169 responses from corporates, financial institutions and others to its request for feedback on the government’s policy approach and insights on the barriers facing sectors from water to recreational services.
