The pop band 911 will perform at Worcester’s Swan Theatre on Thursday, October 1 as part of their 30th anniversary tour which is taking them to destinations all over the UK.

The English pop boy band was originally formed in 1995, formed by members Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable, and Simon “Spike” Dawbarn.

They are known for hits like Bodyshakin’ and their UK number one, A Little Bit More.

The group achieved ten consecutive UK Top 10 hits before disbanding in 2000. They reunited for ITV’s The Big Reunion in 2013 and continue to perform.

Lee Brennan was born in Carlisle and captained Carlisle United under 14s and under 16s, later playing for the club professionally, but it is for his music he is best known.

Jimmy Constable was born in Liverpool and was known for overcoming later battles with drink and drugs after the band split.

Simon Dawbarn was born in Warrington and choreographed a number of the band’s dance routines.

We reported in November last year how Janet’s Hair Salon in Ledbury honoured its late owner, Jan Jones, who ran it for more than 44 years, and died on November 13, 2024 by offering the prize of afternoon tea with lead singer of 911.

In order to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice, Ledbury Law, a legal services firm based on Church Lane and specialises in Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney, made the donation.

The prize will be awarded to a lucky winner who donates a minimum of £5 to the St Michael’s Hospice JustGiving Page.
