West Lothian golf and leisure destination, Deer Park Golf & Country Club, is preparing for a bumper 2026 season as new golf and leisure memberships doubled since last year.
Deer Park is primed for the new golfing season, with the course emerging from winter in outstanding condition following a comprehensive programme of investment and improvement works.
Over the winter months, significant enhancements have been carried out across the course to elevate both playability and overall experience for members and visitors alike.
These works have been made possible through continued investment from the club’s ownership, demonstrating a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and future development.

Key improvements include the introduction of new course maintenance machinery, designed to enhance the quality and consistency of playing surfaces throughout the year.
In addition, extensive tree planting initiatives have been undertaken, contributing to the long-term sustainability and aesthetic appeal of the course. Upgraded drainage systems have also been installed, ensuring improved year-round playability and better performance in all weather conditions.
Iain Stoddart, PGA Head professional at Deer Park, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the work that’s been completed over the winter. The investment into the course is clear to see, and it’s made a real difference to both the condition and presentation.
“As the daylight hours get longer and we head into the new season, we’re excited to welcome members and visitors back to Deer Park alongside a swell of new members as they all experience the championship course first-hand.”

The Club is also preparing for the annual Deer Park Masters which continues to be one of the most popular events in its calendar, and one of the most successful events on the PGA in Scotland’s Tartan Tour.
The 36 hole professional Pro-Am tournament, staged at the beginning of August each year, combines competition, hospitality and networking in a relaxed environment.
The Deer Park Masters has been won by former European Tour members as well as Walker Cup and PGA Cup players. Greig Hutcheon holds the record for most victories at six with Craig Lee his nearest challenger with four titles to his name.
The reigning champion from 2025 is Chris Maclean who won in a play-off.
