FT: Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City
Manchester City captain Alex Greenwood, speaking to BBC One, said: “I thought we controlled the game from the first minute. It was an important conversation we had before the game and I thought we were brilliant throughout the only 90 minutes.
“We play on the front foot and it was important we press and that we’re willing to do that. In the second half in past games we have not started well but I thought we managed to do that well.
“The mentality has been huge. Andree has come in and done a great job. Everyone feels very comfortable to be themselves, it’s the safest dressing room and everyone feels comfortable to have their say. Andree is pretty calm. He just said ‘brilliant performance and we executed the game plan perfectly’. We have got quite a long time until our next match in the cup and then it’s the international break so it’s important we rest.
“We keep our feet on the ground and focus on the next one. Andree is a really calm guy but at the same time he is really intense. He allows you to be yourselves and his door is always open and he really understands the human level and that’s really important, especially with women.
“The standards he sets, he just demands every day. My relationship as captain to him has been absolutely brilliant.”
