Armed bandits have reportedly stormed a primary health centre located in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, the Ondo State capital, abducting no fewer than six health workers on duty on Saturday morning.
However, details of the incident were still sketchy at the time of filing this report, but it was gathered that the bandits struck at the government-owned facility at about 2am and whisked away the victims.
According to one of the patients in the centre, the attackers arrived in a bus, forcefully entered the facility, and took away the victims, including some interns.
The bandits were also said to have packed all the victims into the bus before driving off to an unknown destination.
Details later.
