“We’re delighted with the performance. It was 2007 since Donegal last won [the league].
“It was a great performance as we had a very good second half that saw us through.”
Making up for last year’s All-Ireland defeat by Kerry: “We probably had the fire in the belly after that All-Ireland performance.
“We’re happy with the league in general. A lot of players got a lot of minutes and that’s what it is about.
“We came up here and won the final, so we’ll look forward to the Down game in the championship.
“Kerry have a lot of top-quality players and it was about trying to limit their impact and that went a long way to winning the game.
“We’ll not read too much into it as our focus now is that Down game.”
