“Guys, are you mad?” he says. “You know that every kid that’s playing rugby right now is doing the Pollock celebrations. If you don’t embrace that, you are absolutely clueless. This is exactly what rugby needs.”

He adds: “The last thing you want to do is clip his wings and say, ‘Henry, actually, tone it down, mate.’ No, no. You play with all of the same integrity and fundamentals of what’s built you, but you do it your way.”

Hearn says that England, the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Prem clubs need to “do the job that I’m going to do for Henry on all these other guys that have loads of potential to do the same”.

Pointing out that Joe Marler had to retire from the sport to become a household name, he adds: “When Joe Marler played rugby, I’d never heard of him. Now, if you tell me about rugby, Joe Marler’s probably one of the first things that I’ll tell you. So, that says it all.”
