The actor appeared on the podcast ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ where the conversation turned to their mutual acquaintance with the Duchess of Sussex. Host, Amanda Hirsch said to her guest, “I haven’t met her. The way that happened was that her show was coming out, and I had said on my Instagram, where I say stupid s—, that I am worried for Meghan. ‘Cause you know, you’ve been protective over her in the past.”

Patrick J. Adams, 44, replied to the host: “What she’s gone through is insane.”

Meghan was still acting on the TV show Suits when her relationship with Prince Harry began. She went on to marry the King’s youngest son after leaving the show, with many of her Suits co-stars, including Patrick, attending their royal wedding in May 2018 at Windsor Castle.

Host Amanda also noted Patrick’s Instagram bio mentioned Meghan Markle and questioned him on his social media account. It reads, “the other guy from that show that you’re watching on that app because that girl married that prince.”

“I’ve got to change that,” Patrick said, to which Amanda objected.

He added: “It’s the sort of thing that wherever Meghan is, if she’s ever read that, she’s going, ‘Patrick, give me a break’. I got a lot of eye rolls — that was a constant with Meghan.”

After also hearing the news that the Suits star and actor Sarah Rafferty were launching a rewatch podcast for Suits, the actor said Meghan reached out.

He added: “Upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way.” He added that it was “so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.”

Meghan Markle starred as Rachel Zane, and Patrick starred as Mike Ross in the USA Network legal drama Suits from its debut in 2011 until 2017.
