Here we go again. England v Spain. A blossoming rivalry.

This match in April will come eight months after the Euro 2025 final.

On that day, as we’re sure you remember, England beat Spain to lift the trophy, after going to penalties.

This time, although just a qualifier, the stakes seem huge once more. A win puts that side firmly in the driving seat for a place at Brazil next year.

A defeat and they may have to start considering the idea of a play-off in qualification.

Both sides have won both their qualification matches so far. Spain with a 3-0 win over Iceland and a 3-1 win over Ukraine. England have a two goal advantage after similar results, such is the margin that it may come down to.

Spain are the number one nation in world football, according to Fifa, external. England are fourth.

Can England get one over their rivals once more?
