Don’t get caught out today! (Picture: Metro/Babybel/Terry’s/Heinz/Warburtons)
It’s April 1, so I hope you’ve braced yourself for what you’re going to see on social media.
For the next 24 hours, you’ll have to second-guess every post you see, as it’s likely nothing more than an April Fools’ joke.
The biggest brands out there will be pulling a fast one over on you, making fake announcements and showcasing products that don’t exist, leaving you desperately trying to work out what’s real and what’s not.
Several silly pranks have already been shared, from the launch of the first-ever chocolate Babybel cheese, to Heathrow Express and PureGym joining forces on a ‘training train’, and Dyson teasing an AirWrap for your pampered pooch or pony.
And honestly, we wouldn’t be mad if some of these did exist, but sadly, they’re all hoaxes.
Before you fall for any of them, here’s a look at some of the best jokes of 2026 we’ve seen so far…
The Heathrow Express Training Train

Why would you want to simply rest on the train? (Picture: Heathrow Express x PureGym)
All aboard! This one is a spoof collab between Heathrow Express and PureGym, who have unveiled the UK’s first ever ‘training train’.
This is a 15-minute service which transforms the trip from Paddington to Heathrow into a ‘high-energy fitness experience, giving passengers the chance to stretch, squat and sweat their way to the terminal’.
During this fictional journey, PureGym personal trainers will be on hand to help passengers with a whistle-stop workout, with ‘overhead locker lifts’, ‘luggage lunges’, ‘passport pocket squats’, and ‘gate sprint drills’.
The concept is designed to make ‘every minute count’ as why sit back and simply relax when you could be curling your way to your flight check-in?
Kolin the Katerpillar
We’ve all seen the rivalry between M&S and Aldi over Colin and Cuthbert, but for April Fools’ Day, Krispy Kreme is entering the chat.
The doughnut brand shared a look at their own Kolin the Katerpillar cake, made from mini Original Glazed doughnuts and covered in chocolate.
‘We’ve done our research and found that doughnuts go down better than cake, so we thought we would make something familiar yet far more tasty for a celebratory treat,’ the brand wrote on Instagram.
And fans are clearly on board, with many saying ‘I feel we need it’, ‘give me 10’ and ‘I would buy this in a heartbeat’.
Warburton’s Crust & Curl

They do say crusts will make your hair curly… (Picture: Warburtons)
Two big brands, Warburtons and Only Curls, came together to create a (very fake) limited-edition product known as Crust & Curl Defining Gel.
The inspo? That age-old adage that eating crusts will make your hair curly.
The gel is said to smell like a bakery, with the scent of warm toast and Sunday mornings, and is designed to ‘create a strong cast, enhance curl definition and add soft volume’.
Terry’s Emergency Segment

Would you buy this? (Picture: Terry’s Chocolate)
You’ve likely seen the viral Rhode phone case, which can hold a lip gloss… well, Terry’s Chocolate is putting their own spin on it for April 1.
The Emergency Segment Phone Case is their most ‘iconic and unexpected innovation’, which is described as the world’s first phone case designed to carry chocolate.
The blue and orange case houses one segment of Chocolate Orange, meaning that you’ll never be caught without your fave choc.
And in case you were wondering, yes, the phone case does have ‘anti-heat-proof-hyrdro-technology’ to keep the chocolate from melting, no matter what.
Dyson’s Airwrap Fur

That’s one pampered pooch (Picture: Dyson)
Dyson very cleverly started teasing its April Fools’ joke ahead of time, making it look like they were launching something that would give you a luscious head of hair.
But what you couldn’t tell is that the photo they posted was actually of a dog…
The brand took to social to share a look at its ‘boldest’ launch to date, designed not for humans, but for our fluffier companions, with a whole (not real) range to help pets get glam.
The selection includes The Airwrap Fur for cats, The Airstrait Mane+Tail for horses, The Airwrap Top Coat for canines, and The Supersonic Dapper for ‘dailling up the volume on poodle curls’.
Asda’s adult trolley seats

For the shopper who needs a break (Picture: Asda)
Some people love doing the grocery shopping, while others detest it.
If you fall into the latter category, you might want Asda’s April Fools’ joke to become a reality.
The supermarket chain has revealed mock-ups for adult-sized trolley seats, which are quite literally an entire reclining armchair built into a trolley, complete with drink and snack holders, of course.
The retailer claims they’ll be rolling out in stores ahead of the big Christmas shop, but we won’t hold our breath…
Jammie Dodger Middles
Another item people would probably pay good money for is Jammie Dodger Middles, known as Dodger Hearts.
Ever wondered where the shortcake biscuit cut-outs from a Jammie Dodger go? Well on April 1, you can buy a bag of them to enjoy the ‘missing piece’ as a snack in its own right.
Scott Perry, Chief Marketing Officer at FBC said: ‘Jammie Dodgers have been missing a biscuit heart since 1960, so we thought we’d bring a bit of extra biscuit love to our loyal brand fans.’
Let Them Cook…

Which event are you getting tickets for? (Picture: Royal Albert Hall)
The Royal Albert Hall really wants to get Gen Z’s attention, so they’ve announced a new season of events, entitled Let Them Cook.
This will include a looksmaxxing contest (supposedly hosted by Eamonn Holmes), as well as Doomscrolling in Concert and Aura Farming in Hyde Park.
Ryanair’s end of an era
The budget airline is known for being jovial and often pokes fun at itself, but in a post online ahead of April 1, it seemed this was all coming to an end.
The brand shared a statement claiming they would ‘shift Ryanair’s communication style and tone of voice’.
They added: ‘From now on, we will be adopting a more corporate and professional approach in our communications. Thank you for the last few years.’
We’ll see how long this lasts…
The Great British Detective Show
The one and only Nigella Lawson shared a cheeky snap of her and new Bake Off co-star Paul Hollywood, joking that instead of joining GBBO, they were actually teaming up for a crime show.
Her caption read: ‘I know you were lead to believe that I would be joining Paul Hollywood on Bake Off, but, as you can clearly see, we are in fact a hard-bitten, seen-it-all detective (PH) and a lugubrious forensic pathologist (NL) solving cirmes in the Ruhr Valley.’
Choccybel

(Picture: Babybel)
Chocolate and cheese? Together? It’s a yes from Babybel, apparently.
The iconic cheese brand has teamed up with Monty Bojangles to reimagine the iconic snack in chocolate form.
The peelable cheese has a cocoa-dusted truffle exterior and was reportedly developed over 18 months by a team of flavour specialists and ‘peel engineers’.
Maldon Salted Caramel
Maldon Seal Salt flakes are a bit of a cult kitchen cupboard item, IYKYK.
So any new variation is bound to send foodies wild, and this spoof one did the trick.
According to the brand, these would see the iconic flakes ‘gently infused wiht rich caramel for a sweet-salted crunch’ that would be ideal for sprinkling over warm cookies, pies, or even adding to a morning coffee.
In the comments Brits begged Maldon to ‘make this for real’, saying it would be ‘amazing’, and would ‘slap’.
Pot Noodle Pizza

The best of both worlds? (Picture: Jodie Longdon)
Can’t decide between a Pot Noodle or a Domino’s for dinner? Well you wouldn’t have to worry if this prank was real.
The two brands have teamed up to create a twist on your favourites – the Pot Noodle Stuffed Crust Pizza.
The wacky food item reimagines the chicken and mushroom pizza, featuring chicken and mushroom noodles and the classic seasoning.
Heinz Matcha Mayo

Would you try this? (Picture: Heinz)
Heinz never fails to create a weird and wonderful product for April Fools’, and this year they’ve made something that some people might actually want to try… Matcha Mayo.
Teaming up with PerfectTed, the bold green twist on a classic sees classic Heinz mayonnaise mixed with the earthy, vibrant flavour of matcha.
