Schools which were placed into precautionary lockdowns have started to allow pupils to go home.
Bristol Brunel Academy, Two Mile Hill Primary and Chester Park Infant and Junior schools had locked down due to the shooting in Speedwell.
Speaking to the BBC during the lockdown, Sorina, whose daughter is at Two Mile Hill, said: “I think my daughter is not silly, she will know something serious has happened.”
The father of a Year 6 at Two Mile Hill added that it was a “pain” waiting outside.
“But the school has kept us updated with messages and they said the kids are happy inside playing. It’s not a nice situation for anyone,” he said.
