A weekend of wild weather is poised to have a major impact on a Scottish Premiership title fight for the ages at Storm Dave batters Scotland.

Yellow warnings have been issued across Scotland for Easter weekend and while Rangers and Celtic are on high alert, league leaders Hearts could well be walking into a storm.

Danny Rohl’s men are up first when they host Dundee Utd on Saturday. Conditions for the 3pm kick-off should be spared the worst of it, but 40mph-plus winds are incoming and could arrive before full time.

Derek McInnes’ Jambos however, may have to work hard to avoid their title challenge being blown off course.

They head along the M8 to Livingston on Sunday for a 2pm kick-off and unfortunately for them, will be playing in the thick of it, with 42mph gusts and rising expected along with a high chance of rain.

By the time Celtic get started away to Dundee in the 4.30pm showdown live on Sky, the worst of the storm should have passed but the risk of damage is on the rise with fans on the move.

The capital club holds a three-point lead over Gers as we exit the international break, but the Light Blues will hit top spot if they claim all three points against the Tangerines on Saturday.
