Bristol Rovers’ have a 14-point gap to the League Two relegation zone with six games left. With two games across the Bank holiday weekend, the Gas will have their eyes on mathematically securing their EFL status by the end of play on Easter Monday.

A run of 19 points from the last 24 available has propelled the Gas up to 16th, with head coach Steve Evans picking up 29 points from 20 league matches since taking charge in mid-December. Home form has been key to the recent upturn, and if they win on Friday, it will be five consecutive victories for Rovers at The Mem.

Up next for the Gas is Fleetwood Town, who have lost only one of their last 11 League Two matches, leaving them 13th with 55 points after 40 games.

Matt Lawlor replaced Pete Wild as the interim head coach until the end of the season on January 26. He then signed a permanent deal as the head coach until the end of the 2027/28 campaign on March 17 after an eight-game unbeaten run. So far, he has picked up 21 points from 14 games, with five wins, six draws and three defeats.
