A man sustained multiple facial fractures and a brain injury

A 27-year-old man has been charged to court after a serious assault in Co Down.
It is understood the charges follow the assault of a man aged in his 30s, which led to him sustaining multiple facial fractures and a brain injury. The assault was reported to police on Tuesday, March 31, and is alleged to have happened in Dundonald on Friday, March 20.
In a statement issued on Sunday, April 5. police say the man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, alongside possession of a class C controlled drug. He is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday April 6.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
