On Thursday, April 2, at 5.28pm, Dorset Police received a report a that 32-year-old Jason Evans had made off from a privately operated prisoner transport vehicle in Poole Road.
Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries over recent days.
Evans was reportedly located at an address in Bournemouth on the afternoon of Monday, April 6, and arrested on suspicion of remaining at large after recall to prison.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We would like to thank members of the public who shared our appeals and responded with information.”
