Over the weekend, it was reported that around 2,000 people were in attendance at an ‘illegal rave’ in the area of East Lulworth.
Dorset Police have stated that they’re not able to reveal specific numbers of officers in attendance, however those present included ‘a number of officers’ from other forces on mutual aid.
Additionally, they confirmed that there has been 11 arrests made, with seven arrests made for driving offences.
Three men were arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, one man in his 20s from Bridgwater, another man in his 20s from Pembrokeshire and a further man in his 30s from Poole.
A man in his 30s from Bedfordshire was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possessing a class A drug.
It’s understood that the unauthorised music event took place near a British army base in East Lulworth and the Ministry of Defence have been contacted for more information.
