Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Debbie Webster sees her son Carl’s true colours again next week, when she finds out that he offered Summer Spellman information about Billy Mayhew’s death in exchange for her inheritance money.
Fresh out of prison, Debbie decides to organise a trip away with her gal pals to celebrate her new-found freedom. However, the fun plans grind to a halt when Bernie Winter-Alahan reveals that nasty Carl made Summer a twisted deal – she can finally hear the truth, in exchange for the money she’s received from Billy’s life insurance.

“This is possibly the sickest scheme that Carl has concocted yet,” explains our Coronation Street source. “Manipulating Billy’s adopted daughter to snatch away the only financial support she has left from her dad is a real low blow, especially after he’s already tried to bleed Debbie dry.

“It’s two villains head-to-head competing for the top spot, if you will,” James Cartwright, who plays Theo, told Inside Soap back in February.
“It’s like two silverback gorillas in the jungle. When two silverbacks fight, whoever wins, that silverback then takes all of the other silverback’s family. They take everything that they own.
“I feel it’s a bit like that with Theo and Carl. It’s a ‘winner takes all’ situation. They’re starting to dislike each other now, but that turns to real hate…”
