Gangs of youths were separated by cops this evening after mass disorder at a Scots train station.
Officers from Police Scotland were alerted to the incident at Aberdour in Fife at around 6pm this evening, Tuesday, April 7.
Cops quickly moved in to prevent further disorder and conducted searches. Body worn video was also used to capture events and allow for identification of those involved.
The yobs later dispersed and were ushered away from the area by police via public transport hubs. There were no reports of injuries.
Police are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and urge locals with concerns to come forward.
Inspector Gordon Stanford said: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and those involved will be traced and, where criminality is identified, be held accountable.
“I appreciate this has caused distress to local residents and I want to reassure them, officers will remain in the area and anyone with concerns can approach them.
“I’d also ask anyone with information on those involved in this disorder to come forward and speak to police. If you have CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage which has captured anything of significance, please also bring it to our attention.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2644 of 7 April.”
