Lilly Gerrard has shared some adorable snaps of her newborn baby just weeks after giving birth. Steven Gerrard’s daughter has provided her social media followers with regular updates on her life as a mum ever since she gave birth to her first child, Lila Grey, last month.
The Liverpool legend’s daughter shared the incredible news that she had given birth when she posted a snap of her partner, Lee Byrne, as he carried their new baby out of the hospital on Tuesday, July 15. She captioned the post: “2 becomes 3.”
Lily has carried on a family tradition as she confirmed the name of her new bundle of joy. She said: “So lucky to be your mum. My beautiful baby girl. Lila Grey. Perfection.”
The adorable name is in keeping with a family tradition as the retired Reds’ midfielder and his wife Alex gave all of their children names beginning with L. The couple are the proud parents of four children: Lily, Lexie, Lourdes and Lio.
The Gerrard family gave Lila Grey a gorgeous welcome home last month, as the house was decorated with pink and white balloons, pink bows, flowers, candles and a teddy bear.
Lily posts regular updates on social media as the 21-year-old was in disbelief at her beautiful newborn. She shared some gorgeous photographs from a professional photoshoot with the caption: “Can’t believe you are mine.”
Earlier today, Lily shared a selfie of herself and Lily Grey. The new mum was sat on the sofa while her three-week-old lay next to her with a dummy in her mouth. Lilly also shared a photograph of her younger brother Lio, eight, as he lay on the sofa with Lila Grey under his arm.

Lio was born in 2017 and Steven Gerrard said his family was “complete” after the arrival of his fourth child. In a post on social media at the time, he said: “Lio George Gerrard was born this morning at 4.55am. Both are doing great. Our family is complete.”
Steven often takes to social media to keep fans updated with his personal and professional life. Earlier this year, Gerrard reposted an Instagram story from wife Alex.
The picture showed Lio on the way to his first football tournament. She captioned the image “Off on his first footy tournament @StevenGerrard” with a football and plane emoji.
Last year, footage of Lio playing football emerged online and went viral. A video shared on Instagram showed him flicking the ball into the air and executing a stunning bicycle kick to score a goal. The brief glimpse into his footballing skills suggests he could one day follow in his dad’s footsteps.

It is clear that Steven Gerrard has embraced his new role as grandad as he recently shared a photograph of himself on “grandad duty.” The 45-year-old shared a snap cradling Lila with his Instagram followers.
Gerrard’s daughter grew up in Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK in the past couple of years due to her dad’s management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he departed in January.
