The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have issued fresh statements this evening. It is thought they, alongside West Yorkshire crews, are tackling the blazes on moors between Oldham and West Yorkshire.
“Fire crews are currently tackling moorland fires near Dovestones and Blackstone Edge Reservoirs,” a statement read. “Road closures are in place to support emergency response efforts. Please check local travel information and for your safety, avoid the area.”
