Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has revealed she had to go to hospital after a nasty on-set accident recently. One involving a bottle of wine.
The actor, who’s played Nancy Osborne on the Channel 4 soap since 2005, revealed on TikTok that she’s not been posting too much lately because she’s injured her hand.
“During a scene, I tripped holding a wine bottle, and I smashed it on my hand,” she explained.

“I had to go a walk-in centre and they sent me to A&E and I have to say the service was absolutely phenomenal but it did mean I needed to have some stitches in this hand,” she added.
The soap star showed the camera that her fingers were still bandaged up a week later and said it “still stings quite a lot”.
“I literally squeezed it for some unknown reason and it was like a white hot pain went through my entire body.”
Fox called the whole situation “a f**king farce” and admitted was irritated that the hand she injured was, unfortunately, her dominant one.
The actor added that this was “the straw that broke the camel’s back” after catching a sinus infection from her son River, and needing to go on a course of antibiotics.

In the casual video, she still had a bit of a cough and was a tad sniffly, but said she feels like she is seeing “the light” after all of her recent ordeals.
“You’ve got to laugh, haven’t you?” she concluded.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
