Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are set to collide in a huge super fight on September 13.
While Alvarez and Crawford do share a common opponent, for many years this has only been a dream matchup.
‘Bud’ didn’t see it this way as he continued to move up through the weight classes with great success before this fight came together.
The last man to defeat Alvarez has given his thoughts on the fight by highlighting the crucial aspects that Crawford will need to overcome when moving up to super middleweight.
Despite the factors that are working against Crawford in this bout, his opponent showed that he knows the magnitude of this next test by highlighting just how good the American is.

In a recent video posted by the Ring Magazine, Canelo Alvarez was tasked with playing a simple game.
The interviewer listed several iconic boxers, with the Mexican superstar being told to stay quiet until he heard a name that he thinks is better than Terence Crawford.
Named in the list were Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, Dmitry Bivol, Artur Beterbiev, Bernard Hopkins, and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Two of those names particularly stand out as they’re the only two opponents who have beaten Alvarez inside the ring.
In 2013, Mayweather Jr. handed the surging champion his first defeat before nine years later, Bivol would send him back down to the super middleweight division by successfully defending his WBA light heavyweight title.
Much to the interviewer’s surprise, Alvarez stayed quiet throughout all of the names, stating that Crawford is a better fighter than even the opponents who have gotten the better of him in the past.
Terence Crawford was given a similar task but had very different answers
Ring Magazine presented the same task to Terence Crawford in a clip posted on social media last month.
‘Bud’ was given a different list of names but unlike Canelo Alvarez, he didn’t refuse to speak whatsoever, naming several fighters that he believes are better than his next opponent.
Crawford skipped over the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Artur Beterbiev but raised his voice when it came to Oscar De La Hoya, Dmitry Bivol, and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
With neither man underestimating their opponent, we will find out who comes out on top when they meet inside the ring on September 13, live on Netflix.
