A woman from Prestwich has described her “surreal” experience after offering free camping in her garden to Oasis fans in exchange for a ticket.

Back in August 2024, when the Oasis reunion gig was announced, Liv Bridge, 30, who lives near Heaton Park in north Manchester, took to social media to make a very generous offer to Oasis fans.

Liv posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I live right by Heaton Park. If you’re an Oasis fan and don’t want to fork out £100s for a place to kip, you can camp in my garden. For free.

“The only condition is that you get a ticket for me too. I’ll pay for it, and I’ll even throw in brews, breakfast and a driveway.”

The post went viral, racking up more than 700 comments, getting 42,000 likes and 1,400 reposts.

Earlier this month, Liv told the BBC: “I had a little questionnaire for people to fill out with reasons for coming and how long they’d been a fan. There were lots of fake applications, people who didn’t have a ticket or just wanted to come for the party.”

Almost a year on from then, as Oasis has begun their run of five dates at Heaton Park in their home city of Manchester, Liv has been joined by the Radio X team to broadcast The Chris Moyles Show live from her kitchen.

Speaking on air on Thursday, July 17, radio presenter Chris Moyles said:“We’re doing it from Liv’s kitchen. If you’ve been listening to us, you would have heard us talking about Liv. So, we’ve taken over her house!

“We’re in her huge kitchen – thank goodness she’s got a huge kitchen. I say that sarcastically, because when you put a radio station inside a kitchen, there’s not much room left!”

Liv, who revealed that she did not expect the social media post to take off in the way that it did, and has admitted that the experience up to now has been surreal.

She said: “The whole thing is just surreal. I still feel like I am asleep and that I’m dreaming – It’s just next level this! I mean, how many listeners houses have you been to to do a show before?”

After receiving hundreds of messages from Oasis fans, Liv will have her first two campers, two lads from Newcastle, pitching their tents tonight, who have kept their word and got her a ticket.

Following her visit from Chris Moyles, Liv swapped social media fame for the airwaves by hosting her very own show on Radio X Oasis. Liv counted down the top ten tracks she reckons Oasis should have played during their homecoming run of gigs including tracks ‘All Around the World’ and ‘Columbia.’

She said: “I’ve just had Chris Moyles round at my house doing a show from my garden, and he’s just left a microphone. So now I’m going to do the Radio X Oasis top 10!

“I went with Chris Moyles and the Radio X guys to go see Oasis last night, which was absolutely biblical! But there are 10 songs I think they should have played, if only they had another hour.”
