If you’re in need of a “tense” European thriller set in multiple locations for your next TV binge, look no further than Hidden Assets, which has just become available to watch in its entirety on BBC iPlayer.
This Irish-Belgian-Canadian co-production is comprised of three seasons, originally aired on Irish channel RTÉ One between 2021 and 2025. The three six-episode instalments follow the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) joining forces with Belgian and Spanish counter-terrorism units.
The stacked cast is led by Angeline Ball as DS Emer Berry for season 1, with Nora-Jane Noone taking over for season 2 and 3 in the role of DS Claire Wallace.

“A good piece of entertainment that wasn’t stretched out too far like so many these days,” one fan noted, while someone else wrote: “A very pleasant surprise. High class drama, very convincing story line and well-acted throughout.”
“Fantastic!! Excellent police-style drama with great acting and superbly written,” another person wrote.
“Decidedly one of the best I have seen in MANY years and I hope there is a second season,” someone else enthused after watching season 1.

Elsewhere on iPlayer, sci-fi fans have just been treated to two recently unearthed missing Doctor Who episodes.
Earlier this month, the BBC added ‘The Nightmare Begins’ and ‘Devil’s Planet’ from the serial The Daleks’ Master Plan to its catalogue.
The two episodes originally aired as part of the show’s third season in 1965 and were discovered thanks to the Film Is Fabulous! charity, which found them in a private collection.
Hidden Assets is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
