The Married At First Sight experts were left “absolutely disgusted” following one of the series’ most heated dinner parties to date.
Drama continues to unfold on Married At First Sight Australia, with established couples having introduced their partners to family and friends while newcomers underwent an intensive relationship workshop.
While some partnerships flourished during this period, others found themselves drifting further apart—culminating in one bride’s departure and another launching a scathing attack on her spouse.
Thursday’s episode (9th April) brought the couples back together for another turbulent dinner party. Despite their row the previous evening, Juliette and Joel arrived together presenting a united front, though their accounts of where they stood differed markedly.

The façade didn’t last long, however, as a fierce argument erupted when Juliette accused Joel of declaring himself the “star of the show” – an allegation Joel firmly refuted, reports OK!.
At the dinner table, Juliette recounted her version of events before launching into a withering verbal assault on her husband, calling Joel a “liar”.
Distancing herself from Joel at the table, matters deteriorated further as she declared herself “disgusted”, before revealing details about Joel and his teddy bear to the rest of the group, causing a split in opinion amongst those present.
Juliette went on: “I actually like the teddy more than I like Joel.” She then shocked the experts with a remark that was censored, prompting Mel to exclaim: “Oh my God did she just say that?”
In an increasingly harsh outburst, Juliette declared: “You’ve created a drained girl.”
The experts looked on disapprovingly as John stated he was “absolutely disgusted with this behaviour”, noting: “Those sorts of comments are just cruel.”

In conversations with producers, fellow contestants condemned the “nasty comments” with Bec observing: “She was putting him down a lot.”
On X, viewers expressed their dismay. One person questioned: “Has Juliette forgotten about the cameras?” Another pointed out: “Its on tape Juliette that he never said that.”
A third demanded: “Anyone else screaming at the TV JOEL EXPLAIN WHAT YOU SAID AND IN WHAT CONTEXT.”
A fourth queried: “Is Juliette living in an alternative universe?” while a fifth wondered: “Is Juliette concussed?”
