Allison c Abell b Pretorius 49 (Essex 105-5 v Somerset)
He does not reach his 50!
Not quite the extra ball from the no ball, but fifth ball is the golden one with still two legitimate deliveries to come in Somerset’s 39th.
One run short, Charlie Allisson, who looked good in this exact fixture back in September, edges to Tom Abell at first slip.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore dropped a very similar chance last week, but with him still off the field with that finger injury, Abell uses great hamstring flexibility to get low underneath the ball.
