A man has been charged with “multiple domestic violence offences”, police say. John Damon Gizzi, aged 54, of Cwttir Lane, St Asaph, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice in connection with an incident on 7 April.

He is also charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm in connection with an incident in July last year and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour, involving the same alleged victim.

Gizzi was remanded into custody to appear before Llandudno Magistrates Court on Thursday 9 April, where he was further remanded into custody to appear before Caernarfon Crown Court on 11 May.
