Adam Peaty reportedly snubbed his grandmother on her birthday – as their family feud deepens. The Olympic swimmer is believed to have not wished his grandmother – dubbed Olympic Nan – a happy birthday this week.
Maternal grandmother Mavis celebrated her birthday with her daughter Caroline, Adam’s mum, but it has been reported that Adam was not in touch, despite days before having wished Holly’s brother Oscar’s seventh birthday.
“There was no card, present, text from Adam wishing his nan happy birthday – absolutely nothing. He can post a happy birthday to Holly’s brother Oscar five days ago but not his own nan. It is shameful really,” a source said.

“How could he ignore his 84-year-old nan who has only ever loved and supported him. She is quite bewildered by it. What has his nan done wrong It is very sad,” the source told the Mail.
It comes after his sister Bethany – who was the only of Adam’s family to be at the wedding – said she was “caught in the middle” of the feud but had made amends for the sake of her children.
“I’m caught right in the middle of the row. But I’ve made up with mum really for the children. They adore her and she is a great grandma and a good mum,” she said.
Gordon Ramsay also revealed that Adam had been calling him dad, sharing an insight into their relationship. He said: “He calls me dad. He messaged me and said “Hey dad, what have you got? Hey dad, are you around later?’

“And it’s just like: ‘Oh my God’. Incredible. And what a lovely couple. They are a dream for Tana and I. Adam is one of the most gorgeous disciplined young men you’ll ever hope to meet, and just so focused.”
Before Adam and Holly’s wedding, his mum Caroline did a lengthy interview, where she claimed her son was “in Gordon’s clutches”.
“I know it’s the end. But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point,” she said at the time.
“There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much. I hope your marriage is a good one, I don’t wish any ill on you and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage. The reason I’m speaking out is I want all this to end. He’s in Gordon’s clutches. I can’t help but feel like they are pulling him away from me. Their family is very insular.
“I was crying all the way home. I got home and told Mark that for the first time in my life, I felt I didn’t want to live. That’s how low this has made me. I’m a strong woman and I can get through anything, but this has broken me.”
