A man and a woman have died following a crash in Frodsham. Emergency services were called to Manley Road, near the junctions with New Pale Road and Yarrangall Green, at 8.19am on Monday, April 13, after reports of a crash involving a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Mini Cooper.
The drivers of both vehicles, a 29-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said their families have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Officers are appealing for witnesses, as well as anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam, to come forward.
The road remains closed, and diversions are currently in place.
Sergeant Amy Hollis, of the Serious Collision Investigations Unit, said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident to determine what has happened and, as part of our enquiries, we are now appealing to anyone who witnessed it to get in touch with us.
“I would also like to ask the same of anyone who may happen to have any dashcam footage or additional information which could aid us in our enquiries.
“Our thoughts remain with both of the families of those who have sadly died following this collision, they remain supported by the Constabulary and have requested privacy at what will be a very difficult time.”
Anyone with information or footage in relation to the crash is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, or visit https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML-2307754.
