A deer that got trapped in a fence is recovering well after being rescued, a charity has said.
Brinsley Animal Rescue said the deer was found at the edge of Gedling Country Park, Nottinghamshire, on 1 August, after the deer had become trapped in strong wire netting.
The charity said the deer was panicked but calmed down once he was covered and volunteers managed to free him.
Jon Beresford, co-founder of Brinsley Animal Rescue, said the charity was “truly thankful” to a woman who found the injured deer and stayed with it until volunteers from the charity could attend.
