One star is set to quit I’m A Celebrity South Africa – just over a week into its run. The second series all-stars edition of Ant and Dec’s reality show has seen former campmates like Gemma Collins, Scarlett Moffatt and Sir Mo Farah all battling it out to become the next Jungle Lend.

The series, which was pre-recorded at some point last year, has got off to a flying start with viewers, with plenty of dramatic moments and tough trials packed in so far. But at the end of Tuesday night’s episode, Ant and Dec announced that the following edition of the programme would see the first elimination from camp.

At the very end of Tuesday’s episode, Ant and Dec were heard informing the camp: “It is time for the first celebrity to leave the camp for good,” during a teaser for that is to come, whilst it was also revealed that Scarlett Moffatt and Gemma Collins will face one of the dreaded Bushtucker Trials in the upcoming edition of the show.

On Tuesday’s episode of the series, Beverley Callard, Seann Walsh, Mo Farrah and Sinitta faced Cut Throat Cliff, where each contestant was suspended over a cliff edge on a rope whilst given general knowledge questions. It was also revealed that David Haye, who joined Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts as they represented the Red team, while actor Adam Thomas and Coronation Street’s Craig Charles got down and dirty for the Greens with the Wicked Watering Hole trial, had lost.

David admitted that he did not like losing and it would “eat him up for a while,” and it was then that Gemma went to comfort him over the loss, which left fans confused, especially after he made insulting comments to her earlier in the week.

He said: “It’s gonna eat me up for a while. They tried to get under my skin, and they have; that’s what they should do, and I expect nothing less. I don’t like losing any rounds.” It was at that point that Gemma, who, as a member of the team on the other side of the fence, made the forbidden move to speak to him, and he began by saying: “Hello sweetheart” when he saw her.

She said: “You’re not a loser, David. Don’t be hard on yourself, tomorrow is another day, dust it off, you’re always a champ, you know that. Love ya. Come on, it’s not the end of the world.” Gemma then hugged her co-star before heading off.

Then, in the Bush Telegraph, Gemma said: “Obviously, there’s been a bit of banter between us. I’ve seen a different side to David.” But fans were left taken aback as to why the TOWIE legend had been so kind and understanding towards him, especially as he made comments last night which seemingly referred to her weight.

One viewer wrote on X: “Gemma is being nice to him even though he’s been an absolute c*** to her! She’s better than me!” and another said: “I wouldn’t care, Gemma. David needs to be knocked down a peg or two.”

A third wrote: “They were warned not to mingle, I hope they get punished for that!” and a fourth said: “Gemma I’ve never been a fan of but how sweet was she with David tonight!”
