Big Trev is not to be messed with!

Andrew Price, 58, was charged by an angry stag outside his home in Cannock

This is the comical moment a dad took a painful tumble as he was charged by an angry deer outside his Staffordshire home – moments after telling it: “I’ll f*****g smash ya”. Andrew Price, 58, went crashing through his front door as he fled the stag while trying to give it some water outside his property in Cannock.

The grandfather-of-one said the deer – nicknamed Big Trev – had been coming to his road for the last couple of years and he had even been able to handfeed him on occasion. But on Monday afternoon the animal took exception to Andrew’s presence and chased him back into his own home with a painful fall.

Video footage shows Andrew saying “I’ll f*****g smash you” as the stag began showing signs of aggression. He then shouts out “Ooh f*****g hell” as the creature charges and he falls back through his own front door.

Off-camera Andrew can then be heard saying: “My f*****g flip-flop. Gina…I’ve just fallen over.”

Dad-of-two Andrew, a retired auto-electrician, said: “I was just trying to leave some water out for him and this is how he repaid me. I wasn’t too badly hurt – I just crashed into the radiator as I fell through the door. My croc fell off as I tried to get away so that’s what caused me to fall – I think you can hear me say ‘I’ve lost me flip-flop’.

“We live by Cannock Chase so we have a lot of deer and this one, who we have named ‘Big Trevor’ or ‘Big Trev’ comes up to my home. I’ve been able to hand feed him and I leave him some water out, which is what I was trying to do at the time. But obviously as I bent down, they see that as a sign of aggression as they headbutt – so I think he saw me as a threat.

“I tried to offer him out as I knew what he was about to do but the I was then one that ended up on the floor. But usually, he’ll even hear my electric car coming and follow me up the road to my house. It’s just on this occasion we had a little run-in. I don’t blame him too much, he was just acting on instinct.”

Daughter Chantelle Alabi added: “There’s never a dull moment with my dad.”
