His 31-year-old opponent from Portsmouth was unable to continue and the KO made it three wins from three since Border City Amateur Boxing Club star Carrigan turned professional last year.
The teenage Cumbrian’s latest victory came on the ‘Score 2 Settle’ card at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Friday evening, which was headed by the Nathaniel Collins versus Cristobal Lorente fight.
Carrigan, who now trains at the Tenacity gym in Hartlepool and is signed to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, is one of the top-rated young boxers in the country.
After his title-strewn amateur career included the world under-19 title last year, Carrigan turned pro and claimed victories against Dawid Przybylski and Danny Costello.
Carrigan, from Todhills, is managed by the legendary American, Shelly Finkel, as he aims to make a major mark on the professional boxing scene.
