Cher has recently revealed that her next album will “probably” be her last. Her most recent studio album, the festive collection Christmas, peaked at Number 5 in December 2023.

That month, its lead single DJ Play a Christmas Song made Cher the oldest solo female performer ever to score a Top 40 hit on the Official Singles Chart. At the time, she was 77 years and seven months.

In the process, she became the first solo artist ever to achieve a Top 40 hit with new material on the Official Singles Chart in each of seven consecutive decades.

Cher’s Farewell Tour stretched from June 2002 to April 2005 and comprised five legs including one in Europe.
