Emmerdale brings back a character from Bear Wolf’s modern slavery storyline next week, as Paddy Dingle desperately looks for a way to save his troubled father.
With Bear’s trial for Ray Walters’ death getting closer, Paddy is desperate for a last-minute miracle – but will things go his way?
The tense scenes unfold as Paddy also worries about his own future, since he’s in major trouble with the law himself after helping Bear to cover up Ray’s demise.

The potential consequences hit home when Paddy’s young daughter Eve begs him not to go to prison, which leaves him heartbroken.
When Eve overhears local gossip about her dad, he’s forced to admit that he may indeed be facing jail time.
As little Eve begs Paddy not to abandon her, Mandy desperately suggests that Paddy let Bear take the full blame, prompting him to storm out.
“Paddy is outraged that his wife could suggest something so cruel, so he flees in disgust,” shares our Emmerdale spy. “Mandy just wanted Eve’s sorrow to end though, so she seeks out Paddy to explain.
“The couple reconcile, and Mandy commits her loyalty to Paddy no matter the trial’s outcome.”

During a visit with anxious Bear in prison, Paddy is shocked to see Simo, one of his dad’s fellow survivors from the farm.
As Paddy begs him to testify on Bear’s behalf, Simo staunchly refuses, leaving Paddy with little hope.
“Paddy thought Simo had been murdered,” our spy reminds us. “He immediately thinks to use him as a witness for Bear, who is still spiralling about the bank account Ray set up for him.
“However, while Simo admits that Bear doesn’t deserve to be sent down, he refuses to testify. Simo argues that he’s protecting his own fragile mental health, as he doesn’t want to have to relive his ordeal on Ray and Celia’s farm.”

As Paddy looks out over the village that he holds so close to his heart, he fears that it could be the last night he’ll ever spend at home.
