England allrounder Will Jacks has linked up with the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad ahead of their fixture against Chennai Super Kings on April 23 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Jacks missed the first six matches of the season as he requested a “slightly extended time [off] for personal reasons”. Jacks was bought by MI at the 2025 auction for INR 5.25 crore and was retained ahead of the 2026 auction. Last season, he scored 233 runs and picked up six wickets in 13 matches.
He comes in with excellent recent form in the T20 World Cup, where he scored 226 runs and took nine wickets. He also equalled the record for the most Player-of-the-Match awards (four) in a single edition.
MI, after winning the first match of the season, lost the next four before beating Gujarat Titans on Monday in Ahmedabad. They’re currently seventh on the points table.
