The Esker Solitaire is a rigid steel frameset with room for burly tires and some nostalgic design cues that harken back to simpler times. The Minnesota brand has fewer than 30 remaining in a fresh “Digging for Gold” colorway, and when they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Learn more about the 2026 Esker Solitaire here…
Last year, Esker Cycles announced the Solitaire, a 29-inch-wheeled rigid steel frameset that’s optimized for singlespeeding and can clear 3.0” tires. It features the brand’s adjustable, replaceable Portage Dropouts, as well as mounts for a frame bag, bottles, and three-pack cargo cages. The enigmatic Solitaire is UDH compatible but lacks cable routing for a rear derailleur.
For 2025, Esker offered a limited batch of just 50 frames, which sold out quickly. This year, they gave the Solitaire a fresh “Digging for Gold” paint job, and after some family and friends got their hands on them, they just announced a super limited batch of just 33 remaining framesets with hand-numbered bronze headbadges made by Jen Green. Several have already sold at the time of posting, and only 26 are available across the three sizes (SM/MD, MD/LG, and LG/XL).
The 2026 Esker Solitaire frameset costs $1,400 and includes Esker’s Fork Yeah! steel fork with a 495mm axle-to-crown, a 1 1/2″ – 1 1/8″ tapered steerer tube, a 44mm offset, 110 x 15mm boost spacing, and 180mm post brake mount. This is the last version of the Solitaire Esker will offer, making it your last chance to own one.
