Dr Todd appeared to change tactics on Emmerdale on Wednesday, and it’s bad news for Charity Dingle.
Now, fans think they know her sickening next move as she dealt her latest cards. She’s been bullying medical student Jacob Gallagher for weeks, and he finally went to HR this week.
But there was drama on Tuesday when Charity went into labour while trapped in a lift at the hospital. Charity agreed to be a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden and Sarah’s husband Jacob.
Of course the pair don’t know that the baby Charity has now given birth to his her own with the dad being Ross Barton, as Sarah and Jacob’s embryo didn’t take. Charity fell pregnant with Ross’ baby after she cheated on her husband Mack Boyd, and she’s kept it a secret from almost everyone ever since.

But Wednesday saw Dr Todd let in on that secret, and fans now fear the repercussions for Charity will be huge. Dr Todd overheard Ross and Chas Dingle having a row over the baby.
Chas wanted to be sure Ross would not spill the beans about being the dad, and he revealed he had no intention of staking his claim. Dr Todd overheard the row and figured out that Ross was Charity’s baby daddy.
So she must have looked into Charity’s and the baby’s records as she soon told Charity what she knew. She claimed she had realised Jacob could not have been the father of baby Leyla due to their blood groups not being a match.

Todd claimed she had presumed it was public knowledge that Charity was having a baby for Sarah and Jacob that was not biologically their own, failing to mention she’d actually found out via Chas and Ross. She then suggested it was clear from their different blood types that neither Sarah or Jacob were Leyla’s biological parent.
Charity was panicked and tried her best to deny it all, but she knew she’d been caught out. As Dr Todd taunted her about it all in a very Dr Todd manner, Charity tried to press for an explanation on how the blood group might expose her lie.
They were interrupted though and Dr Todd made her excuses and left. Charity was reeling, and now fans think her nightmare is far from over.

Viewers believe Todd will now target her like she has Jacob, as others wondered if she will use the bombshell in one of two ways. A theory was that she would use it to upset Jacob, as another theory suggested Todd may blackmail Charity to stop Jacob from going to HR.
A fan said: “What’s the betting she uses that to coerce Charity to get Jacob to drop his case.” Another agreed: “Chas blabbing about the baby loudly so Todd hears. She’s going to make Charity make Jacob drop his complaint.”
Another fan fumed: “Doctor Todd is a very twisted dangerous person,” as a further theory read: “She will tell Jacob to rub it in.” One fan then added: “I was saying that would happen and she will tell Jacob because she is such a bully and not a very nice person.”
A final comment said: “Doctor Todd knows Ross is the dad to baby Leyla, she’s definitely going to use this against Jacob now.”
