Stephenson, 25, won the prestigious England national amateur senior elite under-65kg title last weekend.
The Cumbrian, from Border City Amateur Boxing Club, outboxed Eltham’s Amelia Barker in last Saturday’s final in Derby.

It was a major accolade for the Carlisle boxer, and as she took her belts back to Border City ABC on Monday, the club’s coach Ian Archibald said her success can show other young boxers the way.
“We’ve got quite a lot of female boxers in the club now, and they all look up to Brodie,” he said.

“I don’t think we’ve ever had a woman from Carlisle winning the national elite title like this.
“It’s a great story for the area and for women’s boxing in the area.”

Stephenson’s success means she will now box for England in this year’s Four Nations tournament.
She has also been invited to the Great Britain Boxing headquarters in Sheffield for assessment.
