David Haye has taunted Adam Thomas on social media, after he shared a painting of himself holding up a middle finger, while an audio clip of Adam Thomas played.

In the clip, Adam could be heard saying to David: “I’ve got no issues David, you’re my issue right now.” His words came after he and David argued about Adam’s lack of involvement in the challenges in camp. The Emmerdale actor, 37, suffers with autoimmune illness psoriatic arthritis, and was diagnosed in 2023.

His time in the jungle showed him feeling unwell on screen, with Haye has criticising Adam for not doing trials and insisted he was lazy as opposed to actually being sick.

In their final conversations before David left camp, he said Adam lacked the “mental strength” to continue in a group trial and also questioned if he had “some issues” outside of camp.

Adam bit back replying: “I’ve got no issues David, you’re my issue right now.” At another point he told David: “Shut up man. All day every day for two days straight, just chill.”

David said he found their chats “funny” but the rest of camp seemed to be tired of them, including Adam who has said on social media they “broke him”.

In camp Adam said: “I’m glad you love it, because I don’t. Because I like you bro and I don’t understand why you keep coming for me 24/7.” David did then say he was “sorry” but Adam replied: “You’re not bro.”

After leaving camp David commented on his relationship with Adam: “No bad blood from my side. Look, I’ve been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was ten years old. Literally fighting daily, much bigger men than myself, pushing myself to the limits, physically and mentally. I won the world heavyweight championship against a seven-foot Russian giant.

“So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show – where we’re being paid handsomely every single day – is the hardest thing he’s ever been through, it’s just not a frequency I recognise. I was actually on my best behaviour in there, honestly. I’ve spoken to Adam, I’ve said my piece, and some of what’s still to air will speak for itself. I’ll leave it there.”

After the episode aired for viewers, Adam share on social media that his arguments with David “broke” him : “My time in I’m a Celebrity South Africa was one of the toughest things I’ve ever been through, physically, mentally, and emotionally.”

He added: “Since coming out, I’ve taken time to process everything, and I’m in a much better place now. I let go of the anger, had the conversations I needed to have, and chose peace. What I’m most proud of, is at times like this I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit but I didn’t .

“Even when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! and that means everything to me. “He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I’ve told David this and he’s apologised and that’s that! I’ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge. But thank you for all your lovely messages and all the kind words We all face people and situations that try to break us, but sometimes those moments are what rebuild you stronger than ever. Be kind.”

In recent episodes, Adam has gone on to have an explosive row with fellow camper Jimmy Bullard, fans have also called out Adam’s continued presence in the jungle, with many questioning why he was given the chance to be saved, and not send home.
