It’s a big week ahead for all of the soaps, with returns, deaths, and secrets exposed.

On EastEnders, Grant speeds back into Walford, and he’s told his brother Phil is struggling with Nigel deteriorating. Grant is angry that no one told him how unwell Nigel is, while Phil is convinced his loved ones don’t need him. As Nigel gets worse, Julie decides it’s time to make him comfortable and stop Nigel’s treatment.

As Julie warns Grant that Nigel hasn’t got long left, Grant is torn between seeing Nigel for the last time and helping Phil. Grant manages to get Phil to agree to visit Nigel, and soon after Nigel sadly passes away. Phil struggles with his grief, as Walford comes together to remember Nigel after learning of his death.

Elsewhere, Ravi remains in the mental health unit, where he is diagnosed with complex PTSD and begins therapy. Cindy finally agrees to a date with Max but has no intention of turning up, until a moment with Linda makes her jealous.

As for Emmerdale, Cain and Moira feel distant to each other, leaving Robert feeling guilty. As Moira questions Robert’s behaviour he admits he planted the IDs that led to her imprisonment, and that Joe Tate was blackmailing him and Victoria. She issues an ultimatum, before heading off to confront Joe with a shotgun.

Meanwhile, Cain plans to cancel his cancer surgery, but can Moira and Liam change his mind? Moira later tells Dawn what Joe has done, but how will she react? Sarah and Jacob are overwhelmed with becoming baby Leyla’s official parents. Ross is awkward, reluctant to hold the baby, knowing he’s the father, but Jacob insists on inviting him and Moses to their family gathering later.

Paddy tells Eve he may go to prison, but Mandy suggests Bear take the full blame for Ray’s death, leaving Paddy disgusted. Bear spirals about new evidence fearing he won’t be freed from prison, and Paddy is not optimistic when he finds Simo, who was also exploited by Ray and Celia, who refuses to help Bear. Dr Todd flirts with Vanessa, before trying to turn residents against Jacob.

Over on Coronation Street, in a dramatic week of episodes we see the killer events that took place on Carla and Lisa’s wedding day. We see the day’s events from each of the potential murder victims’ point of view, and by the end of the week one of Maggie, Megan, Jodie, Theo and Carl will be dead.

Theo terrorises Todd, but with George’s help he is able to flee. But he’s not done yet as Todd is forced to face his abusive partner once more. Carl’s enemies are hopeful to see the back of him, but will Carl get away with his final act of malice towards his brother Kevin?

Jodie’s past comes back to haunt her, as she too prepares to flee only for her sister Shona to be accosted by two men. Jodie knows they have been sent to get the hard drive she stole, and she gives it up, as Shona asks her to stay. Soon a discovery leaves Jodie seeking revenge, but she’s being watched.

Maggie and Megan fight it out after Megan’s run-in with Leanne, Eva and Toyah. When Megan overhears Maggie and Melanie discussing something incriminating, she tells Maggie a secret of her own, but will it lead to one of them being killed? As the week comes to an end, we see the moment Betsy finds a body, and lives are changed forever as someone meets a grim demise.

On Hollyoaks, Jonah visits Tony to thank him for saving his family, whilst newcomer Maddox reunites with his mum, Beth. Maddox finds out about the crash, and Pearl tries to help the family, while Jack is caught between his warring relatives. Ste has a big decision to make between Rex and old flame James. Diane sets a plan in motion, while Cleo struggles to be around Tori after a bombshell.

As for Home and Away, Remi struggles with the effects of his surgery, while he’s told his tumour isn’t cancer. Jo and Cash join forces to locate Tane, but they soon put Brax and Ricky’s life on the run at risk. Lacey is incriminated by a newspaper article while soon she’s devastated to learn the DPP have decided to prosecute her for Holden’s death.

Home and Away is available to stream from 6am weekdays, with double bill episodes airing from 6pm on 5Star. Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4’s streaming service now, while it also airs Mondays to Wednesdays on E4 at 7PM.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
