Appeal after man killed in Birmingham hit-and-run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run in Birmingham.

A brown Vauxhall Astra hit Shaun Harron, aged 44, at the junction of Romsley Road and Adams Hill in Bartley Green, just after 00:30 BST on Sunday.

The car, which had the registration number LV63 WHN, did not stop after the collision and headed away in the direction of Jiggins Lane.

Harron was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he was sadly later pronounced dead.
