Western Design Architects (WDA), based in Tarrant Hinton near Blandford, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a portfolio spanning private residential, public, educational, healthcare, agricultural and heritage work across Dorset and the UK.
The practice is recognised as one of the south west’s leading RIBA Chartered practices and is led by directors Matthew Witt, Jonathan Turvey, Phil Easton and Matthew Haley.

Jonathan Turvey, director at WDA, said: “Celebrating 40 years in the architectural profession is both an honour and a reflection of our enduring passion for what we do.

“This milestone is not just about our history, but about the lasting impact we continue to shape for future generations.”
Over the past four decades, WDA has completed more than 2,000 projects and received more than 65 awards for its work.
Notable Dorset projects include the Harbour View Crematorium, Upton Country House, and the STEAM Hub at Talbot Heath School.
The firm’s specialties include contemporary schemes and historic conservation.
Founding director Phil Easton is one of only three RIBA Accredited Conservation Architects in Dorset.
Mr Easton said: “We need to keep our built heritage alive.
“Old buildings are a legacy from our past, what we have today, and what we pass on to future generations.
“It is our responsibility to save, to preserve, to conserve, and to enhance.”
The company employs more than 18 professionals and intends to share its 40th year celebrations throughout the year on its social media platforms.
