ALISON Hammond is to present a reboot of ITV’s Name That Tune — luring her away from potentially hosting Strictly Come Dancing.
The musical gameshow, fronted by Tom O’Connor then Lionel Blair from 1976 to 1987, is expected to air on Saturday nights.

It might explain why This Morning star Alison, 51, claimed she would be too busy to front the BBC One dance contest.
A TV insider said: “Although execs know she is free to take up offers from other channels, Alison is very much seen as an ITV face, and the channel are keen to maintain that link.
“She already hosts This Morning and For the Love of Dogs for the channel, but this would arguably be her biggest gig to date with ITV.
“It remains to be seen exactly when it would air, but after being touted as a host for Strictly this show might end up seeing her go head-to-head with it.”

Name That Tune sees contestants try to guess songs from clues and notes.
After its original run ended, a brief reboot saw it return for two series on Channel 5 from 1997 to 1998 with Jools Holland fronting.

Alison also presents The Great British Bake Off as well as Your Song on Channel 4, where people perform in public.
She said: “As a massive music lover, my biggest challenge as a host will be trying not to grab the mic and start singing along when one of my all-time favourite tunes comes on!
“And trust me… that will take serious self control!
“I grew up absolutely loving the original show so being part of this now feels like a real full-circle moment.”
It is the latest vintage ITV show being brought back with new hosts, including Bullseye with Freddie Flintoff and Wheel of Fortune, presented by Graham Norton.
Other ITV shows have found new homes elsewhere, including a Gladiators reboot on BBC One and Blind Date on Disney+.
