A triple rollover jackpot is giving the National Lottery Lotto draw extra spice tonight (Saturday, August 9).
It’s a bumper top prize of £7.3m and comes after previous jackpots proved elusive for players.
Many will be day-dreaming about what that kind of fortune could be spent on if they get the six main numbers.
For some, it would be instant gratification with luxury holidays, fine dining and house and car upgrades.
Others may play a longer game and look for wise financial investments.
We’ll have the winning numbers for Lotto and Thunderball below. Remember, play for fun and responsibly.
Saturday’s winning numbers on August 9
Winning Lotto numbers: 2, 27, 29, 38, 44, 51. Bonus ball: 23
Winning Thunderball numbers: 16, 25, 28, 31, 33. Thunderball: 10
It costs £2 per ticket to play for the Lotto. You can buy a ticket throughout the week, but on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.
And if you want more games to play, there is also EuroMillions every Tuesday and Friday and the Set for Life game on Mondays and Thursdays.
While the Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with a £500,000 top prize.
On Wednesday, as well as nobody winning the jackpot, there was no winner of the £1m prize for matching five main numbers and the bonus ball.
It was the first draw since the National Lottery was paused last weekend for a major technology upgrade.
Wednesday’s draw also saw no Thunderball main winner, but someone did get £5,000 by getting all five regular numbers.
