Ross County have suffered back-to-back relegations. They will play in League 1 next season.
Killian Phillips headed them in front at Stark’s Park, a goal – which for a fair whack of the night – had them in the play-offs.
But two magic crosses from Josh Mullin – onto the heads of Innes Cameron and Jack Hamilton – undid their good work.
County struck back level through James Scott before a late Mullin penalty compounded their misery.
Tempers flared at the final whistle, with players and coaching staff involved in a post-match incident on the pitch following Raith’s winning spot-kick.
